This Graph Changed My Life - Kaizen - Japanese Concept of Improvement

We should always allow some time to elapse, for time discloses the truth.

There is difference between Instant and Delayed Gratification (long-term happiness).

Instant gratification looks great apparently at the moment, but results are full of consequences like eating pizza and unhealthy food, playing video games.

Delayed gratification examples are reading books, meditation, learning new skills, exercising, eating healthy food. Here bad feelings are at the moment but there are great rewards for the rest of life.

The fact is that our tiny actions turn into our habits. Habit is so powerful that we even don't notice what we would be doing. Time comes when we become addictive of Instant Gratification. As a result, we become impatient, intolerant. 
On the contrary when we work hard and develop habit of Delayed, Long-term Gratification like exercise, it will help us to improve all areas of our life.
Until now we discussed direct effect, but domino effect also prevails here. Let me explain; I bought a TV on finance $50/month. It looks not big deal $50/month but when at some point of time if I'm unable to pay, my credit will be affected. 
Also, I started wasting my time watching TV for long hours and developing instant pleasure habit. 
But consciously starting exercise will result into clearer mind, which would be helping me in my relationships, now I would become less defensive, it may help me in my business, job promotion. 
Now just connect second, third and fourth order consequence of your single activity. you may start recognizing devastating consequences of one single activity. Whether it's good or bad activity, it has its effect - both direct and domino.
Instant Gratification: Short-term superficial pleasure at the cost of long-term fulfillment. [Poor people get trapped in this practice.]

Delayed Gratification: Short-term sacrifice of superficial pleasure at the reward of long-term fulfillment. [Rich (mean happy, successful) people follow it as daily practice.]

In routine, we make 35000 decisions a day. Just imagine the impact of fun but negative decisions and boring but positive decisions. This is not plus and minus, hard and fast rule but I'm just trying to explain a concept.
Understanding this concept may help in each and every step in your life. How our small, tiny actions may have huge direct and domino effect on our's and other's life.
