Hateful but Good

Rumi said: 'Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.'

Muhammad Ali Clay says: I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'

The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it. Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein once said “When you stop learning you start dying”.

Brain is like a muscle – the more it is used, the stronger it gets.
People better use it to learn new skills to adapt themselves to what’s coming their way!

Imam Jaffar Sadiq (AS):
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'I only like to see the young man from among you occupied in either of two states: learning or teaching, for if he does not [engage in either of these two], he is wasting his time; and by wasting his time, he will lose out; and by losing out, he will be committing a sin; and by committing a sin, he will dwell in the Fire, by the One who sent Muhammad with the truth.’ Amali al-Tusi, p. 303, no. 604

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:216
Fighting is ordained (prescribed) for you, even though it be hateful to you; but it may well be that you hate a thing while it is good for you, and it may well be that you love a thing while it is bad for you: and God knows, whereas you do not know.

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:246
Have you not thought about the group of the Children of Israel after (the time of) Musâ (Moses)? When they said to a Prophet of theirs, "Appoint for us a king and we will fight in Allâh's Way." He said, "Would you then refrain from fighting, if fighting was prescribed for you?" They said, "Why should we not fight in Allâh's Way while we have been driven out of our homes and our children (families have been taken as captives)?" But when fighting was ordered for them, they turned away, all except a few of them. And Allâh is All-Aware of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).
Talût (Saul) and Jâlût (Goliath) situation

Imam Husayn (‘a) said: "Verily, people are the slaves of the world and their religion is superficial, only on their tongues. They are attentive to it as long as their material benefits are provided, but when they are tested, the number of true devotees dwindles.

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘People are like trees, their drink is one but their fruits are different.

Al-Balad (The City) 90:4
Verily, We have created man into [a life of] pain, toil and trial.
