Open Account With the Creator

Let me translate story of a student and teacher from Afghanistan.

Teacher got a call that one of your student from Afghanistan is here to see you.

The student came with some gifts and as soon as he arrived, he started crying.

The teacher asked him, the reason of crying. Why are you crying? He replied, my cry is of happiness.

Now student narrates his story. 5 years back I completed a diploma from here. I came in your office and I told you that I have got job in a Canadian construction company at Bagram US airbase in Afghanistan. I asked you for advice. I advised him to open an account with the Creator.

The student asked, what is that?

The teacher explained, work more than what you get paid and make this as your habit. Put more time and help the people around you; your colleagues etc.

Do your job honestly without break. This is your account with the Creator.

Your job duty is for you. This additional work, you are doing, is for the Creator.

The student asked, how it works. How will I get be rewarded.

The teacher explained, this reward would be very very surprising for you.

This is my advice for you, you asked me. Open positive account with the Creator.

The student came back after 5 years and narrated his story. When you advised me to open to account with the Creator. I acted upon your advice and within 5 years, now I’m owner of the same big Canadian construction company where I was hired for the first time.

I was hired as CRO – Customer Relationship Officer. My duty was to translate Pashto / Persian calls into English. My left side person was accountant. He was responsible for financial matters. My right side person was in charge of material and HR. They both were my colleagues (left and right).

In Afghanistan working hours are from 5:00 – 5:30 am until 3:00 – 3:30 pm. I started staying after hours as per your advice.

On 3rd day, after getting familiar with my colleagues, I asked the person on my right side. If I can help you to do something, I’m here. He gave a pile of files. I did that. Same practice I did for the person on my left side. 2 years passed, I was working for both on my left right and my own, keeping in mind that my account has been opened with the Creator.

They both were lazy, idler, slacker, late comer, excuser, blamer, complainer (lack of salary). They has no interest in duty.

I was doing my own job, job of left right and I was walking all over the company. If anyone needs any type of help, I was there. This was my extra work and it was without pay.

My colleagues used to ask me, why you are doing all this. Just focus on the work what you are paid for.

My belief was that my job is for my worldly bank account and my extra work is depositing in my account with the Creator. It was your advice, my teacher and I was waiting for my surprise.

Me, my left, my right; each was getting paid USD 900 each. When Corona Pandemic came, my experience was 2 years, left was 6 years, right was 8 years. Our supervisor died due to Corona.

The position was advertised internally. I also applied. My colleagues were laughing at me. But I got selected in test and interview. People with long job time protested on my selection. There was a chaos in company.

Canadian CEO called me in his office and talked to me. Can you explain, how it comes, within short period of time, you know more than each of them, what is the secret!

I explained to CEO about your advice of opening account with the Creator. What you work extra than what you get paid. That’s account with the Creator.

Be problem solver, don’t be lazy, work hard. CEO confirmed me as supervisor.
