Benefits of Living Full Life

Choosing the easy way out often leads to a hard life while choosing the hard way often leads to an easy life.

8 Reasons You Should Do The Hard Things

1. You Will Grow As A Person
There is nothing more fulfilling in life than growth. Expanding your knowledge of your community, yourself, the people around you and the world are ways to grow as a person. This could mean trying a new restaurant in town, even if the food is from a culture you’ve never heard of. This could mean traveling to a new country, even if you go through a tour company, you’ll still be experiencing different cultures. Allow yourself to be accepting of people, places, and things that are outside your norm.

2. You Will Become A Better Person
Taking the easy way out allows you to flow through life unnoticed and unfulfilled. Allowing yourself to do the harder things in life will help you become a better person. Extending a helping hand to those who have hurt you is doing the hard thing, but you will feel better about it, and you are definitely the better person for doing so.

3. You Will Stand Out
Many times people avoiding helping or doing the task that nobody wants to do. Not being this person, and instead being the one who chooses to take on the project, or do the task, will help you stand out. For example, if you take on a difficult client at work and succeed, you will be noticed by your boss for your efforts. The next time a promotion comes up, you’ll most likely be on the top of the list to get one.

4. You Will Be Healthier
Again, taking the easy way out allows you to slink through life, but it could also create health issues. For instance, if you choose to buy dinner out because ‘it’s easier than making dinner at home’ you will suffer from the negative effects of eating fast food regularly. If you choose to eat at home, taking the extra time to prepare a healthy dinner, you will feel more energized, want to get up and exercise, and improve your overall health.

5. You Will Become Smarter
Another great thing about taking the time to do the hard things in life is that you’ll become smarter. Taking the time to solve a problem, or plan an event, puts your mind into overdrive. You’ll learn to come up with great ideas for doing new tasks, and open your mind to new concepts, you would never have come across taking the easy way out.

6. You Will Be More Productive
People who choose to do what nobody else wants to do are often very productive and successful individuals. They tend to take charge, and get things done. Just because it’s hard, doesn’t mean it has to take forever. You will learn to put your mind on the task at hand and push through until completion.

7. You Will Be Valued
Many people look at those who take on these ‘hard things’ as someone to depend on, someone to look up to, and above all, someone whose efforts they value. If you want to be this person, do the hard things in life.

8. You Will Be Happier
Probably the most important reason why you should choose to do the hard things in life is that it will make you happier. You will feel as though you’ve accomplished something, tried your hardest, put in the effort needed, and have made a difference in society. It will also build your self confidence in knowing that when the going gets rough, you’ll be equipped to handle whatever comes your way.

The ‘hard things’ in life can be whatever you think they are. Like getting up before sunrise to exercise even when you want to sleep in. Mowing your elderly neighbor’s lawn after mowing yours for three hours. All these things make a difference, help others, and essentially make you a better, healthier, happier, fulfilled individual.

At-Tauba (The Repentance) 9:19
Do you, perchance, regard the [mere] giving of water to pilgrims and the tending of the Inviolable House of Worship as being equal to [the works of] one who believes in God and the Last Day and strives hard in God's cause? These [things] are not equal in the sight of God. And God does not grace with His guidance people who [deliberately] do wrong.

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:216
Fighting is ordained for you, even though it be hateful to you; but it may well be that you hate a thing the while it is good for you, and it may well be that you love a thing the while it is bad for you: and God knows, whereas you do not know.

An-Nisa (The Women) 4:19
O you who have attained to faith! It is not lawful for you to [try to] become heirs to your wives [by holding onto them] against their will; and neither shall you keep them under constraint with a view to taking away anything of what you may have given them, unless it be that they have become guilty, in an obvious manner, of immoral conduct. [18] And consort with your wives in a goodly manner; for if you dislike them, it may well be that you dislike something which God might yet make a source of abundant good.

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:269
Granting wisdom unto whom He wills: and whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted wealth abundant. But none bears this in mind save those who are endowed with insight.

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:65
For you are well aware of those from among you who profaned the Sabbath, whereupon We said unto them, "Be as apes despicable!"

And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday). We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised (hated) and rejected."

Al-A'raf (The Heights) 7:166
And then, when they disdainfully persisted in doing what they had been forbidden to do, We said unto them: "Be as apes despicable!"

So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected."

Storytelling is a powerful communication tool.

The best way to prepare for death is to live life to its fullest.

In fact, statistics show that the fear of public speaking is ranked above the fear of death and it affects about 73% of the population!

One Percent of One Percent: 99% of the population is afraid of public speaking, and of the remaining 1%, 99% of them have nothing original and interesting to say.

85 Percent of all Diseases (due to lack of Communication Skills)
The American Medical Association (AMA) states 80 percent of all health problems are stress related, and even the conservative Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has stated that 85 percent of all diseases appear to have an emotional element.

Build Your Walls! Guard Your Gates! You Can’t Hide What’s Inside
East Germany and West Germany division and behavior of people on both sides.
East Berliners sent garbage to West Berliners. In return, West Berliners did opposite.
Each gives what he has to give.
In the same difficult circumstance, some will focus on helping others and some will focus only on themselves.  Both are responding to what is hidden deep in their character.  The trial simply brings what is hidden to the surface, to where it can be seen in our words and our actions.
No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
Good fruit, fruit that will last – the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
It was this fruit that enabled the West Berliners to send love instead of hate back across that border.  It was this fruit that kept them from retaliating or escalating the conflict.  It was this fruit that made them understand the hurt and the fear behind what the East Berliners did.
If you get an opportunity to swap fruit, remember the good fruit of the West Berliners, and do you best to bless even when you are cursed.
